Skeleton Leaves

Products Used:

  • Tim Holtz Leaf Dies
  • MFT Stitched Rectangle die set
  • MFT sentiment and banner
  • Rubber embossing mat

I used Kraft cardstock for both the base and the card front. Cut your card front using a Stitched Rectangle die.

Set your die cutting machine up as if you were to use an embossing folder. Each machine is different in this respect but generally, use a bottom plate, the rubber mat, your cardstock face up, the leaf die face down in position on top of your card front, and then the. top plate. Run this through. You end up with a cool textured impression for the the card background.

I coloured up a couple of watercolour panels with Nuvo shimmer powders – one in tones of green and a little blue, the other in yellow with splotches of red/orange.

Cut the skeleton leaf from these, plus a couple more from plain cardstock. Glue these together for dimension Place on the card front as desired and add a sentiment banner to the front.
