I had fun cutting out the flower sets – one pass generally gets you a layered flower, although with the Daisies, I did cut a second set to layer behind for a fuller looking flower.
I painted the pieces with watercolour paints – you could use any ink here.
Once dry, the glued the flowers together. I used my pencil and pokey tool to add a little curl to some of the petals for dimension.
For a little extra interest in the background, I embossed the card front with a 3D embossing folder – these give really fun texture and dimension.
I cut the letters for the word Blooms twice from white cardstock and once from a matte gold cardstock. The Tim Holtz alphabet set is particularly cool in that it has multiples of most of the letters, making cutting words like this, (and happy!) so much easier.
I added the sentiment strip across the top of the lettering and a few clear Nuvo drops on the flowers to finish.
