Rainbow Butterfly

Products Used:

  • Memory Box Drifting Side Butterfly
  • Hero Arts Butterfly Confetti Background die
  • MFT Rounded Stitched Rectangles
  • Sentiment of your choice
  • Nuvo Crystal Glaze
  • Copic markers

Cut the Drifting Side Butterfly base from white cardstock, along with an intricate layer. Cut a second intricate layer from black cardstock.

Glue the two white pieces together – fine tipped liquid glue is best for this job. Use copic markers, or any medium of your choice to fill in the butter wings with colour. You can see I did a bit of a rainbow here.

Glue the black top layer on top – you’ll see this tidies up all that colouring like magic! Add crystal glaze to the top if you like. Set aside to dry

Cut a card panel with the Hero Arts butterfly background die. Using foam tape strips, go around the edges of the panel on the back, and add any little pieces to the back for stability. Stick this to your card base.

Cut a little panel from coloured cardstock – I chose yellow here, but was also deciding between a soft grey too, which would look pretty.

Stamp and heat emboss your sentiment on the bottom of this panel and glue the butterfly down.

Glue the panel to the front of your card.
