This is a fun project where I got to dig into my drawers of scrap! I keep the little off cuts from all my other projects that get trimmed down so I have a heap of colours and effects to choose from. I cut down the pieces into various strips – 1/2 to 1/8 inch wide.
Use a piece of scrap paper like a refill page, or copy paper to glue your strips down in a gradient of colour.
Trim the piece down to suit your project – mine is 3 inches wide, and 5.5 inches tall.
I cut the intricate layer of the Gypsy Feather three times and stacked these together. I glued this to the feather base, also cut from white cardstock. I love the white on white look.
I white heat embossed the sentiment onto a black strip to fit across the striped background.
